Urban Planters in the Okehampton/Exeter area is seeking a Graduate Horticultural Technician. The role offers full training with no prior experience required and starts with a 6–12 month focus on a defined geographic area, supporting customers with live and artificial plant displays.

You will work 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, in a full-time permanent position. The company provides externally accredited training and opportunities for career progression within Rentokil Initial.

Qualifications

• Graduates with a science-based, horticultural or agricultural degree.
• Minimum 2.2 degree required.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Willingness to work with customers and enjoy problem solving.
• Flexibility with working patterns to support business needs.
• Possibility of DBS check depending on role.

Responsibilities

• Water, feed and manage pest control for live plant displays.
• Replace dead, dying or overgrown plants and maintain artificial displays.
• Assist with plant display installations and seasonal installations.
• Maintain compliance with health and safety procedures.
• Provide excellent customer service and professional image at all times.
• Offer advice to customers on plant upkeep.
