Job summary

Octopus Energy Group is seeking a motivated Graduate Hardware Engineer to join our small but highly focused Hardware Development team. You will experience the full hardware lifecycle and contribute to EV chargers and smart energy hardware deployed in homes, with hybrid work between Slough and our Oxford Street office.

• Recent graduate in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or related field.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Willingness to work across multiple offices and home setup.

Responsibilities

• Assist end-to-end specification and development of EV chargers and smart energy hardware.
• Conduct hands-on testing, prototyping and validation of hardware components.
• Support regulatory certifications and documentation for compliance.
• Investigate hardware issues and perform root-cause analysis.
• Collaborate with firmware/software and product teams to integrate hardware.
