Job summary

Amey Consulting’s GIS team is seeking a Graduate GIS Consultant to develop geospatial solutions for infrastructure and transportation projects across the UK. You’ll work with ArcGIS Pro/Online and QGIS to create datasets, maps, dashboards, and web visualisations, while supporting data collection and reporting.

You’ll learn from experienced professionals in a collaborative environment and grow your geospatial career.

Qualifications

A degree (minimum 2:1) in GIS, Geography, Geospatial Science, Environmental Science, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
An interest in geospatial technologies and spatial data analysis.
Experience with GIS software such as ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, QGIS (through academic projects, placements or personal study).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
Enthusiasm for learning and developing a career in geospatial consultancy.

Responsibilities

Create, manage, and maintain geospatial datasets and mapping products.
Undertake spatial analysis to support infrastructure, environmental, and planning projects.
Develop maps, dashboards, and visualisations using GIS and web-based technologies.
Support data collection, quality assurance, and data management activities.
Assist with the production of technical reports and client deliverables.
Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to integrate geospatial insights into project outcomes.
Stay informed about developments in GIS, remote sensing, data science, and digital technologies.
