Ayesa Engineering is a global consultancy delivering geotechnical services from its Guildford office. The Graduate Geotechnical Engineer will join a project team, contributing to design work, site inspection, and tender support across multidiscipline projects.

The role demands a minimum of 1 year in civil/geotechnical design, strong Eurocodes knowledge, and clear communication. A hybrid working setup and strong career development are offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year design experience in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering.
• Detailed knowledge of Eurocodes and current engineering codes of practice.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work to deadlines and excellent planning and organisation skills.
• Ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Work as a member of a project team to deliver quality services to clients.
• Ensure geotechnical designs are in accordance with set standards and recommendations are robust, value-based and commissionable.
• Ensure designs are delivered on time to clients and fulfil the client’s brief.
• Inspect construction work and ensure design are correctly implemented.
• Monitor processes and results to comply with safety, legal, ethical and regulatory requirements.
• Make appropriate judgements and exercise initiative.
• Assist at tender stage of projects.

Position

What You Will Be Doing:

• Working as a member of a project team to deliver quality services to clients
• Ensures all geotechnical designs are in accordance with set standards and all recommendations are robust, value-based and commissionable
• Ensures that designs are delivered on time to our clients and that the design fulfils the client’s brief
• Inspects construction work and ensures that all aspects of design are correctly implemented

Requirements

What You Bring:

Experience & Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1-years’ design experience in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering with proven technical knowledge of geotechnics and relevant software.
• Detailed knowledge of Eurocodes and current engineering codes of practice
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work to deadlines and excellent planning and organisation skills
• Ability to work independently

Skills & Attributes:

• A first degree (minimum 2.1) in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering or similar
• Masters degree in geotechnical engineering or similar is preferred
• Working towards Chartered Engineer status
