Job summary
Penguin Recruitment is seeking a Graduate Engineering Geologist to join a specialist ground engineering consultancy in Liverpool. You will gain hands-on experience in ground investigations, drilling, logging and reporting, working with senior engineers across North West projects.
You'll contribute to site supervision, soil/rock logging, sampling, and interpretation of results, with training and clear progression towards professional accreditation.
Qualifications
- A degree in Geology, Engineering Geology, Geoscience or a related subject.
- Willingness to start a career in ground engineering and gain practical site experience.
- Able to travel to sites across the North West and work outdoors on active construction sites.
Responsibilities
- Attend and supervise ground investigation sites.
- Work with drilling contractors and log soils/rocks to recognised standards.
- Take soil and groundwater samples and monitor groundwater and gas.
- Prepare factual ground investigation reports and assist with interpretative reporting.
- Produce site records, logs and technical drawings, and liaise with contractors and clients.
