Job summary

Balfour Beatty plc is recruiting a Finance Graduate to join our 2027 Early Careers programme, based at our Quorum Business Park office in Newcastle. You’ll gain hands-on experience, take on real responsibility, and develop technical and professional skills while supporting the Internal Reporting Team.

You’ll be part of a supportive graduate community, with training, accreditations and opportunities to progress within our Finance Operations function.

Qualifications

  • Graduate with a Finance degree; 2:1 honours required by start date.
  • Motivated to develop professionally within a major infrastructure group.
  • Strong communication and collaborative skills to work across teams.

Responsibilities

  • Assist management accounting within Finance Operations; handle month-end journals, balance sheet reconciliations and data analysis.
  • Support accurate monthly financial reporting and contribute to the internal reporting processes.

As a Graduate - Finance , you'll join our 2027 Early Careers programme and gain hands-on experience while contributing to some of the UK's most significant infrastructure projects. From day one, you'll take on real responsibility, develop technical and professional skills, and work alongside experienced colleagues who will support your growth. You'll also be part of a supportive graduate community, building the skills, experience and industry-recognised accreditations needed for a successful career.

In this role, you’ll join one of our Enabling Functions teams as a Graduate - Finance , based in Balfour Beatty Quorum Business Park Office, supporting our Internal Reporting Team.

What you'll be doing

As a Finance Graduate you will be an assistant management accountant within our Finance Operations function in Newcastle. You’ll work on all aspects of month end reporting including but not limited to journals, balance sheet reconciliations and data analysis. It's about ensuring the company’s accurate monthly financial reporting.

This role will provide exposure to all the aspects of a Finance Operations function.
