Job summary

The Clancy Group Limited invites applications for a Graduate Estimator to support the commercial and pre-construction activities on major water infrastructure projects. You will work with experienced estimators, environmental professionals and commercial teams to develop accurate cost estimates that inform planning and delivery.

This graduate role offers structured development, mentoring and on-the-job training from a professional team, helping you grow technically and commercially within civil

Qualifications

• Degree-qualified in a relevant discipline (Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, etc.).
• Strong numerical, analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
• Experience with interpreting drawings and tender documents is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing project programmes and cost estimates for new projects.
• Review drawings, specifications and tender documents to identify requirements and risks.
• Obtain and analyse supplier and subcontractor quotations for pricing.
• Attend site visits with the bid team.
• Manage risk registers and pricing clarifications.
• Support in preparing Bills of Quantities (BoQs) and take-offs from drawings.
• Coordinate with design, procurement and delivery teams to align estimates with scope.
• Contribute to value engineering to identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Maintain supplier rates and benchmarking data.
• Assist in post-tender reviews and handovers to project teams.
