Job summary

Burns & McDonnell in Birmingham, UK is seeking a Graduate Project Manager to support EPC projects, construction management and program delivery. You will assist with safety, quality, schedule and cost controls, contracts, procurement and client interfaces on electrical transmission & distribution efforts.

The role focuses on assisting senior project teams, developing project plans, managing documentation, and coordinating with subcontractors and suppliers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering or a related field required.
• Applicable experience may be substituted for the degree requirement.
• Excellent computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of document control, scheduling, cost control and project management software preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to handle large volumes of work in a fast-paced environment.
• Must have a valid driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Assist with administration of project safety, quality, schedule, cost control, contracts, subcontractors, suppliers, procurement, proposals, estimates, documentation, turnover, client interface, and field-based activities for EPC projects.
• Assist the Project Management team in building client relationships while interfacing with the client for proposal and project related items.
• Assist the Project Management team execute prime contracts, downstream contracts, and change orders.
• Assist with development and implementation of the Project Execution Plan, QA Plan, Safety & Health plan, Subcontracting Plan, Project Staffing Plan and Procurement Plan.
• Assist with jobsite set-up activities, mobilization and demobilization.
• Assist with securing applicable project permits.
• Coordinate potential bidders' supplier/subcontractor registration and pre-qualification efforts.
• Assist with RFP package development, bid and selection process, and detailed scope of work documents.
• Assist with contract administration including RFIs, submittals, change management, and claims mitigation.
• Support project controls efforts including cost reporting, scheduling, WBS, and progress tracking.
• Develop internal/external reports including project budgeting and cash flow forecasts.
• Participate in project and risk review meetings and record minutes.
