Job summary

Jobs In Science in Northwest London is seeking a Graduate Environmental Technologist to join the busy consultancy team. The role involves visiting customer sites across London to undertake sampling and air monitoring, including asbestos air monitoring and surveying, and soil/environmental sampling.

Full UK driving license is essential and training will be provided in a range of monitoring techniques with potential late shifts and weekend work. Local applicants to NW London preferred.

Qualifications

• Science graduate in Environmental Science, Chemistry, Geology, Geoscience, Earth Science, Materials Science, Physics or related subject.

Responsibilities

• Visit customer sites across London to undertake sampling and air monitoring.
• Perform asbestos air monitoring and asbestos surveying.
• Conduct air quality assessments, dust and vibration monitoring.
• Soil and environmental sampling and data collection.
• Assist in compiling technical reports from collected data.

Our client is a leading testing, investigation and monitoring company offering consultancy services to the construction and rail sectors across London and the Southeast. They are seeking a science graduate to join their busy consultancy team as a Technologist.

The role involves visiting customer sites across London to undertake sampling and air monitoring including:

Asbestos air monitoring

Asbestos surveying

Air quality assessments

Dust and vibration monitoring

Soil and environmental sampling

The data collected is used to compile technical reports required by customers.

Candidate:

Science graduate in Environmental Science, Chemistry, Geology, Geoscience, Earth Science, Materials Science, Physics or related subject.

Some relevant employment history highly desirable, such as field work, site work or laboratory.

Non-graduates with relevant site experience also considered.

Full UK driving licence required.

Some experience of, or willingness to, work on site and outdoors in all weathers as necessary.

Flexible and able to work late shifts, weekends and nights as and when required.

Full training provided in a variety of monitoring techniques.

Candidates should live locally to NW London.
