Job summary

United Infrastructure is seeking a Graduate to join our Energy business, designing, building, and maintaining critical national infrastructure across the UK. You will support Environmental Manager and project teams, interfacing with clients and colleagues to deliver projects and build strong relationships.

The two-year graduate programme offers a tailored development pathway aligned to your discipline, with virtual and in-person events, accreditation support, and opportunities for progression

Qualifications

• Minimum 2.2 Bachelor's degree in environmental science or management.
• Knowledge of UK environmental legislation and standards.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Full driving licence.
• Able to commit to regular travel to project sites across the UK.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day environmental assurance across active construction sites.
• Ensure that the project meets all environmental obligations, permits, and reporting requirements.
• Work with project teams to identify environmental deliverables and integrate into the project schedule.
• Provide specialist advice on regulatory compliance and other environmental matters.
• Support compliance with the United Infrastructure environmental management system and legal requirements.
• Attend site meetings, audits, and inspections with contractors and internal stakeholders.
• Review and challenge waste management plans, transfer documentation, and permitting submissions.
• Support development and rollout of environmental management systems and monitoring processes.
• Ensure environmental best practice is identified, shared and embedded.
