Are you a recent engineering graduate looking for more than a traditional graduate role?
Our client is offering a multidisciplinary graduate scheme that offers the opportunity to gain hands‑on experience across multiple areas of an innovative engineering business before deciding where you want to specialise.
You’ll work on live customer projects, gaining exposure to design, electrical engineering, automation, manufacturing, project management and sales. Rather than being confined to one department, you’ll become a valued member of each team you work with, developing practical and transferable skills along the way.
The programme typically runs for around 2 years and 10 months, with each placement designed to build your technical knowledge, commercial awareness and confidence.
You’ll get genuine hands‑on experience across the manufacturing process, including:
You won’t be left to figure it out alone.
You’ll have a dedicated mentor and structured training plan throughout the programme, with regular reviews to track your development, goals and achievements.
As you progress through each placement, you’ll build a portfolio of evidence documenting the skills and experience you’ve gained. This can also provide useful evidence towards your longer‑term professional development and potential route towards Chartered Engineer status.
At the end of the scheme, you’ll have a formal review with senior management to discuss your progress and identify the department and career path that best suits your strengths and ambitions.
We’re looking for graduates who are curious, practical and keen to understand how different areas of engineering work together.
You’ll ideally have:
You’ll gain experience that many graduates take years to build - working alongside experienced engineers, getting hands‑on with real projects and seeing how an engineered product goes from an initial concept through design, manufacture and delivery.
You’ll also become part of a sociable and supportive team, with regular company‑funded events and activities alongside graduate‑organised socials.
If you're looking for a graduate role where you can learn, get hands‑on experience and make a genuine contribution from the start, this could be the opportunity for you.
