Arup in Birmingham is offering a Graduate Energy Consultant role within our Energy Advisory team. You will work on real-life projects across the energy sector, including transmission, offshore wind, hydrogen and CCUS, learning from experienced professionals from day one.

This role develops your analytical and communication skills as you collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, support feasibility studies, reporting, and project delivery while progressing toward professional accreditation.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a related Bachelor's degree with predicted 2:1 or higher.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent reasoning and analytical abilities.
• Ability to articulate ideas to diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate between clients and multidisciplinary teams to produce high-quality reports.
• Support technical/commercial papers and present findings, e.g., feasibility studies for energy storage.
• Advise on policy, legislation and procurement options; help deliver procurement activities.
• Assist project management best practices and governance.
• Support business development efforts for future opportunities.
• Engage in site visits and data analysis to inform decisions.
• Develop tools for data processing and visualisation.
