Job summary

Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1 Team in the United Kingdom is seeking a Graduate Electronics Engineer to join our Electronics group, contributing to the design and delivery of innovative, ‘Right First Time’ engineering solutions for the race car.

You will work on PCB design with Altium Designer, develop C/C++ software for embedded and Linux platforms, and help advance cutting-edge electronics technologies while collaborating with a small team of engineers.

Qualifications

• Pursuing or holding a degree in Electronics Engineering or related discipline.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work across teams to deliver results.

Responsibilities

• Electronics engineering and design of bespoke PCBs including schematic capture and PCB layout using Altium Designer.
• Research and development of new and unique electronic technologies to meet F1 requirements.
• Writing software in C/C++ for embedded and Linux platforms as required.
• Analyse and interpret electrical and electronic systems to understand how they work and identify issues.
• Capturing requirements and specifications.
• Conducting reliability investigations and fault finding of electronic designs, sensors and systems.
• Rig and bench testing to ensure designs meet specifications.
• Report project and technical progress to stakeholders with full documentation and regulatory compliance.
