Ernest Gordon Recruitment Limited is seeking a Graduate Electrical Engineer to join our water infrastructure projects in Chelmsford. You will work on live projects and receive structured training and mentorship from experienced engineers to develop your technical and practical skills.

The role covers electrical design, installation, testing and commissioning, with site visits two to three days per week. You’ll contribute to technical reports and project documentation while progressing through

Qualifications

• Graduate with a degree or HND in Electrical Engineering, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Instrumentation or related subject.
• Willing to work on live water infrastructure projects and attend sites two to three days per week.
• Full training provided with industry qualifications and safety courses such as SMSTS.

Responsibilities

Are you an Electrical Engineering graduate looking to develop your technical and practical skills while working on live water infrastructure projects?

Do you want structured training, support from experienced engineers and exposure to electrical design, installation, testing and commissioning from the beginning of your career?

On offer is the opportunity to join a growing engineering consultancy delivering multiple projects across the Thames Water framework. The company will provide full training, hands-on support and relevant industry qualifications, including site and safety courses such as SMSTS where required.

In this role, you will support experienced engineers with the delivery of electrical projects across multiple sites. You will assist with design work, equipment inspections, installation, testing and commissioning while helping to produce technical reports and project documentation.

You will attend sites approximately two to three days per week, gaining practical experience across live schemes while learning the technical standards, safety procedures and project-delivery processes used throughout the water industry.

This role would suit a graduate with a degree or HND in Electrical Engineering, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Instrumentation or a related subject who wants to build a long-term career in water and infrastructure engineering.

The Role:
