Job summary

Ernest Gordon Recruitment is seeking a Graduate Electrical Engineer in Chelmsford. You will join a growing consultancy and work on Thames Water framework projects, gaining hands-on experience in electrical design, installation, commissioning and project delivery from day one.

You will receive full training, including safety courses such as SMSTS, with support from senior engineers while developing practical electrical engineering skills on live projects. Site visits are 2-3 days weekly.

Qualifications

• Graduate with a degree or HND in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Commutable to Chelmsford.
• Willing to undertake site visits 2–3 days per week.

Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of water industry projects across multiple sites, gaining hands-on site experience.
• Assist with design, installation, commissioning activities, and general project delivery support.
• Attend site visits 2-3 days per week alongside senior engineers to develop practical onsite skills.
• Produce technical reports and project documentation while learning industry standards, safety practices, and delivery processes.
