Stantec invites you to join our 2027 Graduate Programme as a Graduate Electrical Engineer in Birmingham, supporting the Water team with sustainable solutions for water and wastewater projects.

You will work with the MEICA team on design, audits, risk evaluations and interdisciplinary collaboration, with a clear path toward professional chartership and accreditation.

The programme offers structured development, mentoring and a route to chartership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
• Interest in the water industry and sustainable engineering.
• Right to work in the UK without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Support electrical and ICA design for water and wastewater projects at various design stages.
• Assist with technical audits, risk evaluations and engineering assessments.

Join our 2027 Graduate Programme as a Graduate Electrical Engineer in our Birmingham office, where you will be part of our Water team and support the delivery of sustainable engineering solutions across water and wastewater projects.

About The Role

Alongside the MEICA team, you will support technical audits, risk evaluations and electrical/ICA design, liaising with other technical disciplines at feasibility, outline and detailed design stages to produce solutions in a timely and cost-effective manner. Your core responsibilities include:

• Supporting electrical and ICA design for water and wastewater projects at feasibility, outline and detailed design stages.
• Assisting with technical audits, risk evaluations and engineering assessments.
• Working with MEICA colleagues and other technical disciplines to develop practical, sustainable and cost-effective solutions.
• Contributing to projects involving storm overflows, flood alleviation, catchment solutions and nature-based solutions.
• Developing your technical understanding of the water industry through project work, collaboration and structured graduate development.

We are committed to supporting employees in achieving relevant professional qualifications and accreditation. This role will support you towards professional chartership with a relevant engineering institution, such as the IET, while developing your technical skills within the water sector.
