Job summary

Cundall is seeking a Graduate Electrical Engineer to join our Building Services team in the UK. You’ll contribute to electrical building services design across diverse projects, from education to data centres, focusing on sustainable solutions.

Under supervision, you’ll learn to translate client needs into designs, with Chartered programs offered through CIBSE and IET, supporting your path to professional recognition and chartership.

Qualifications

• On target to achieve at least a 2:2 degree.
• Desirable if accredited with or on course to achieve a BEng/MEng degree level in Electrical Engineering.
• Have a keen interest in Electrical Engineering, particularly withing Building Design or Critical Systems.
• Possessing a desire for personal and professional development, you’ll have the proven ability to work effectively as part of a team, be organised and methodical when managing tasks, priorities and deadlines.
• Digital engineering is a big focus at Cundall, so ideally, you’ll have an understanding of Parametric ModellingTechniques(Grasshopper or Dynamo), or at least one modern programming language (e.g. Python, C#, VB).
• Collaborative in nature, you’ll be able to empathise with your clients’ needs and utilise excellent communication skills, both in writing and verbally, with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design and analysis of electrical building services for a range of buildings.
• Provide specialist consultancy input on projects across education, healthcare, workplace, retail and critical systems (data centres).
• Undertake detailed electrical design and translate client needs into building services designs.
• Progressively take on more responsibility and autonomy with professional development support towards chartership.
