Job summary

Stantec seeks a Graduate Electrical Engineer for our Glasgow office, joining the Buildings discipline on the 2027 Graduate Programme. You’ll contribute from day one on live projects across healthcare and education, helping design electrical services and energy strategies.

Use Dialux, Relux, Electrical OM, and Revit for BIM modeling; collaborate with design teams; participate in meetings; undertake site visits; and pursue professional accreditation with IET or CIBSE.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering.
  • Interest in the Buildings sector and ready to join a graduate programme.
  • Candidates must have unconditional right to live and work in the UK.

Responsibilities

  • Work on live projects from the start across healthcare and education.
  • Perform electrical services design and calculations using modelling software.
  • Collaborate with supervisors on scheme design concepts and BIM coordination.
  • Produce detailed designs and drawings and contribute to energy and sustainability strategies.

About The Role

As a Graduate Electrical Engineer, you'll be...

  • Working on live projects from the start in a variety of sectors from healthcare to education
  • Electrical services design and calculations using the latest computer modelling software Dialux, Relux and Electrical OM
  • Working with supervisors on scheme design concepts
  • Using Revit and 3D BIM modelling software in design production Design co-ordination with other professional disciplines
  • Producing detailed designs and drawings
  • Input into or development of energy and sustainability strategy
  • Participating in design team and client meetings
  • Undertaking site visits or surveys
  • Researching and implementing new technologies
  • Continuous CPD and learning opportunities
  • Your typical work might include designing and creating Electrical Circuits, Wiring and Lightning

About You
