In our Leeds office, you will be part of a market-leading Buildings discipline. As a Graduate Electrical Engineer, you’ll join a collaborative and growing MEP team where you'll have the opportunity to make a real impact. You'll be part of a close‑knit Leeds team of 15, supported by a regional network of 20 professionals and backed by a national team of over 200 experts. This structure offers the perfect balance of local team support, regional collaboration, and access to national expertise, providing excellent opportunities for learning, development, and career progression.

You’ll support the delivery of a diverse range of projects across multiple sectors, including retail, manufacturing, logistics, education, healthcare, leisure, and heritage projects.

About The Role

As part of the MEP team, you’ll support the design and delivery of building services projects from concept through to completion. Typical responsibilities will include preparing engineering calculations, producing and reviewing technical reports, developing design drawings and specifications, and assisting with the coordination of multidisciplinary project information.

We are committed to supporting employees in achieving relevant professional qualifications and accreditation. The applicable professional qualification for this role is IEng or CEng status.

This role will help create high‑quality, sustainable and resilient buildings that deliver positive outcomes for communities and the environment. Working across a range of projects, you will support the design and delivery of safe, efficient and future‑ready buildings, helping clients reduce environmental impact, enhance building performance and create spaces that improve the wellbeing of those who use them. Your work will contribute to sustainable development goals, support the efficient use of resources, and help deliver innovative solutions that meet the needs of both clients and local communities.

About You

At Stantec, we value your potential over past experience. Along with a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in an engineering related discipline, a knowledge of Microsoft packages, and a keen interest in working in the Buildings sector, you’ll be:

  • A Perseverer – You stay composed in the face of setbacks, approaching challenges with confidence and determination.
  • An Eager Learner – You learn from your experiences and the world around you, using this knowledge to anticipate how situations may unfold.
  • A Collaborator – You work effectively with lots of different people, considering others’ perspectives to shape better outcomes.
  • A Problem‑Solver – You love to give your thoughts based on what you see, being unafraid to challenge conventional thinking.

Please note, we ask our graduates to come into the office 4 days per week, to ensure that you receive sufficient time with your team and receive the appropriate level of support.

Applicants must have an unconditional right to live and work in the UK for an indefinite period without limitation.
