Job summary

Stantec is offering a 2027 Graduate Programme for a Mechanical Engineer in Glasgow. You will work on live projects across healthcare and education, performing mechanical design, calculations and BIM modelling, while coordinating with a multi-disciplinary team.

The role includes energy/sustainability input and opportunities for CPD within a supportive, collaborative environment. You will develop professionally with mentoring, team support, and guidance from senior staff, while pursuing

Responsibilities

  • Work on live projects from the start across healthcare to education sectors.
  • Perform mechanical services design and calculations.
  • Collaborate with supervisors on scheme design concepts.
  • Use Revit and 3D BIM modelling in design production.
  • Coordinate design with other disciplines and produce detailed drawings.

About The Role

As a Graduate Mechanical Engineer, you’ll be…

  • Working on live projects from the start in a variety of sectors from healthcare to education
  • Mechanical services design and calculations
  • Working with supervisors on scheme design concepts
  • Using Revit and 3D BIM modelling software in design production
  • Design co-ordination with other professional disciplines
  • Producing detailed designs and drawings
  • Input into or development of energy and sustainability strategy and dynamic thermal modelling
  • Participating in design team and client meetings
  • Undertaking site visits or surveys
  • Researching and implementing new technologies
  • Continuous CPD and learning opportunities
  • Your typical work might include Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Control Systems, above ground drainage systems and hot and cold-water services.

About You
