Job summary

Bimplus is seeking a Graduate Electrical Engineer in Greater London to contribute to building services projects from concept to completion. You will work within a multidisciplinary team under experienced engineers, gaining hands-on electrical design, coordination, and site exposure.

The role focuses on developing skills in system load calculations, plant sizing, and technical reporting, while progressing toward professional registration and broader project responsibility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or closely related discipline.
• Degree accreditation by a relevant professional institution such as CIBSE, IET, or IMechE is preferred.
• Strong interest in building services, sustainable design, and multidisciplinary project delivery.
• Relevant industry experience through internships or project work would be advantageous.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit, BIM processes or electrical design software is beneficial but not essential.
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Contributing to the technical design of electrical building services systems
• Undertaking system load calculations and assisting with plant sizing
• Supporting the coordination and sizing of plant rooms and distribution routes
• Preparing technical reports appropriate to each design stage
• Assisting in creating technical specifications for systems and equipment
• Evaluating design options and documenting decisions
• Attending project meetings and workshops, learning through discussion
• Collaborating with colleagues from other disciplines to broaden knowledge
• Supporting progression of designs through concept to detailed stages
• Assisting with site inspections and monitoring installations during construction and commissioning
• Gradually taking on increased responsibility for project delivery
