Job summary

Build Recruitment Limited in Bristol is seeking an Apprentice or Graduate Electrical Design Engineer to start a career in building services design. The role offers hands-on exposure across electrical building services projects and a clear development path.

Working with experienced engineers, you will contribute to design calculations, drawings, and project delivery from concept to completion, using AutoCAD and Revit to support lighting, power and electrical systems.

Qualifications

• Electrical Engineering graduates or Apprentices seeking building services design roles.
• Current or recently qualified Electrical Engineering apprentices.
• Experience in building services design is desirable.
• Some experience using AutoCAD and/or Revit is advantageous.
• A degree, HNC/HND or equivalent would be advantageous.
• Good communication and organisational skills.
• Genuine interest in developing a career within building services consultancy/design.

Responsibilities

• Assist with electrical design calculations and technical specifications.
• Produce electrical drawings and design information.
• Support engineers with project delivery from concept through to completion.
• Work on lighting, power, small power and electrical systems.
• Assist with design coordination alongside other building services disciplines.
• Produce and amend drawings using AutoCAD and/or Revit.
• Attend project meetings and liaise with clients and other design professionals.
• Develop technical knowledge and understanding of building services.
