About the Role
Atelier Ten are offering a graduate electrical roleto technically minded people looking to start a career in the builtenvironment. As a company and group of people keen on positive socialand environmental impact in the work we do, we want to encouragepeople with the same outlook to reinforce these values.
We are looking for individuals determined to build theirtechnical knowledge and experience by getting involved in the designof real-world projects.
What will a typical daylook like?
As an electrical engineeringgraduate in building services, you spend your day working on bothdesign and construction aspects of building projects. In the office,you work with specialised software like AutoCAD or Revit to designelectrical systems such as power distribution, lighting, fire alarms,and data networks. You ensure that your designs meet safetyregulations and energy efficiency standards while integrating smoothlywith the mechanical, structural, and architectural aspects of thebuilding.
Collaboration is key, so you frequentlymeet with senior engineers, project managers, and other teams todiscuss project requirements, resolve technical issues, and adjustdesigns. You will also work on electrical load calculations, selectappropriate equipment, and ensure compliance with local buildingcodes.
While on site you will inspect ongoingconstruction work to verify that electrical systems are installedcorrectly and according to your designs.
Occasionally we will be invited to factories to learn about newproducts and technologies and how we can incorporate these into ourdesigns.
Outside of office life, there are plentyof social occasions, such as joining a sports club or the annualsoftball match between junior and senior staff! We also have end ofthe month socials and bi-annual "culture days" - there really issomething for everyone, even a weekly board games evening!
