Job summary

RED ENGINEERING DESIGN LIMITED invites graduates to join its September 2027 London-based graduate engineering programme. You will gain hands-on experience in building services design for data centres, with structured training, mentoring, and a clear path to professional chartership.

Participants will work alongside engineers and project managers, using specialist software, visiting sites, and contributing to the delivery of real world projects while developing technical and business skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum BSc/BEng (or equivalent) in a relevant engineering discipline.
• Working towards Chartered Engineer status.
• Basic knowledge of BIM and engineering software.
• Understanding of Health & Safety legislation.
• Strong IT skills (MS Office, spreadsheets, calculations).
• Previous experience in industry is desirable, though not essential.
• Proactive, enthusiastic and organised approach, with a willingness to learn and take ownership of tasks.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships and work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically when faced with technical challenges.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the design and delivery of exciting, real‑world engineering projects.
• Gain hands‑on experience and develop professional qualifications.
• Work with experienced engineers, project managers, and clients.
• Develop designs using specialist engineering and design software.
• Visit project sites and gain first‑hand experience of how designs are transformed into reality.
• Support project delivery and documentation to high standards.
