Job summary

Ifor Williams Trailers invites applications for a Graduate Design Engineer at Deeside. You will take ownership of design changes, support validation with manufacturing sites, and ensure smooth delivery from request to completion.

You will work with our Sales Team, Site Leaders and Continuous Improvement Engineer to deliver changes on time, ensure 3D models and drawings are manufacture-ready, and maintain meticulous documentation.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering/Design or currently studying towards one.
• Experience using Solid Works 3D CAD Software.
• Experience in creating drawings generated from the 3D model.

Responsibilities

• Work with Sales Team, Site Leaders and Continuous Improvement Engineer to ensure requested changes are completed on time.
• Ensure that 3D Models and Drawings are suitable for Manufacture (Design for Manufacture).
• Act as point of contact for issues arising from design change; meticulous and accurate documentation.
• Ensure our MRP system is updated with new data and engineering change documents are distributed across the business.
