Job summary

Ifor Williams Trailers Ltd in North Wales is seeking an enthusiastic Mechanical Design Engineer to deliver robust, high‑quality trailer designs from concept to production. You will work within the Design Hub and collaborate across the project team to ensure plans are realistic and compliant.

The role offers involvement across product design and tooling, jig and fixture engineering, with opportunities to influence the entire product line.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent training and experience.
• Demonstrable delivery of relatable products and / or engineering activities.
• 3D CAD modelling and detail drafting experience (preferably SolidWorks).
• Evidence of good project management skills.
• Automotive, industrial or agricultural / off-road engineering.

Responsibilities

• Provide robust and innovative high-quality designs that meet all customer and stakeholder requirements.
• Ensure that designs you are responsible for are appropriately validated and conform to all company and legislative requirements.
• Actively participate in design reviews and take ownership of design projects with timely risk escalation.
• Support resolution of customer, operational or quality issues with all products you are responsible for.
