Job summary

Senior plc is seeking a Graduate Design Engineer to join the Engineering team at the Senior Innovation Centre. You will gain exposure to new product design across product ranges and participate in development from concept to production launch.

You will work with cross-functional teams including Project Managers, Prototype and Production engineers to ensure designs are manufacturable and meet customer requirements, while advancing your technical skills in automotive, aerospace and power energy

Qualifications

• Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent is required.
• Experience with Catia 3D, surface modelling and detailed drawings.
• Knowledge of GD&T is advantageous.
• Strong technical and analytical abilities with clear communication to stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Generate innovative and feasible design concepts and cost-efficient solutions to meet project requirements.
• Ensure design requirements are optimized for manufacturability, cost and performance.
• Prepare, check and approve drawings to required standards and quality processes.
• Participate in internal design reviews with cross-functional teams to meet project needs.
• Liaise with technical specialists for FEA, CFD and 1D calculations as required.
• Represent Senior in customer meetings where necessary.
• Collaborate with Project Managers, Prototype, Purchasing and Production to ensure designs are manufacturable.
• Maintain up-to-date design files and documentation as per procedures.
