Job summary

ace, a leading UK asset management advisory partner, seeks a Graduate Data Scientist to support high-impact data and technology engagements. You will work with senior advisors, engage stakeholders, and contribute to discovery, current-state analysis, and architecture mapping in a regulated financial services context.

You will combine strong technical foundations in data structures, SQL, and Snowflake with consultative skills to translate findings into strategic recommendations.

Qualifications

• Strong SQL proficiency for querying, analysing and documenting data structures.
• Solid database design principles, data modelling and relational schemas.
• Experience with or strong working knowledge of Snowflake.
• Ability to read, interpret and contribute to architecture and data flow diagrams.
• Demonstrable consultative experience: gather requirements and translate findings.
• Strong stakeholder communication and written communication skills.
• Proactive, self-motivated and comfortable with ambiguity.

Responsibilities

• Support current-state discovery: document data processes, systems and architecture.
• Map data flows and dependencies across the client technology estate.
• Track in-flight technology projects and migration activity.
• Assist in creating current and future state architecture diagrams.
• Analyse cloud data warehouse structures, schemas and migration needs.
• Support API connection design for third-party data access.
• Explore AI capability options within the cloud data platform.
• Contribute to technology strategy documents and executive briefs.
• Conduct stakeholder interviews, workshops and working sessions.
• Communicate technical findings clearly to diverse audiences.
