Job summary

PeopleGenius is seeking a data scientist to turn structured and unstructured data into models used across European portfolios. You’ll work with a European client in financial services, applying advanced modelling and coding to drive real decisions.

Expect to own the full model lifecycle, apply NLP on new projects, and collaborate with teams from large banks to Italian clients. Strong Python and SQL skills, plus experience with visualization tools, are essential, and you’ll travel across Europe

Qualifications

• Experience in a Data Science role with a real focus on modelling and coding.
• Strong Python and SQL.
• Hands-on modelling techniques such as CHAID, cluster analysis, Bayesian algorithms, neural networks and MARS.
• An open mind about where you’ve come from; this role is industry-agnostic.
• Experience with visualisation tools.

What you’ll actually be doing

You’ll turn structured and unstructured data into models that drive real decisions across multiple European portfolios:

• Building propensity-to-pay forecasts and other predictive and descriptive models


• Owning the full model lifecycle: modelling, scoring and monitoring across a range of data sources


• Getting stuck into new projects, including NLP


• Working across European portfolios, from a large European bank to a smaller Italian FS client


• Presenting insight to colleagues and showing them what the data is really saying

You’ll bring

The process
