Job summary

La Fosse is supporting a leading UK transport and infrastructure organisation in building its first production Machine Learning capability. This role focuses on turning predictive insights into real-world operational and commercial impact rather than pure research.

You will build and deploy ML models into production, partner with stakeholders to solve business challenges, and present findings to both technical and non-technical audiences, shaping best practice for the function.

Qualifications

I'm supporting one of the UK's largest transport and infrastructure organisations as they continue to invest heavily in their Data & AI capability.

This is an opportunity to join a newly established Data Science function where you'll help shape the first production Machine Learning capability across the business. You'll be working with large-scale operational datasets, influencing business decisions that impact millions of customer journeys each year, and helping define best practice from the ground up.

The Role

This is not a research-focused Data Scientist position. The focus is on delivering predictive insight that drives real-world operational and commercial outcomes.

What I'm Looking For

Communication is every bit as important as technical capability in this role. They're looking for someone who can influence stakeholders, challenge assumptions and translate complex analysis into clear business decisions.
