Job summary

Arup is seeking graduate Civil Engineers to contribute to site development and infrastructure projects in Liverpool. You will work on multi-disciplinary teams to deliver practical and sustainable engineering designs, from concept through to construction, across public and private sectors.

You will bring a degree in Civil Engineering and familiarity with AutoCAD/MicroStation, Civil 3D and drainage tools. We value collaborative, innovative thinkers who are eager to learn and grow with Arup.

Qualifications

• A Bachelors or Masters degree in Civil Engineering.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD/MicroStation, Civil 3D, InfoDrainage and use of AI/Data/Digital tools to support engineering design would be useful but not essential.

The Opportunity

Arup's Site Development teams thrive on the diversity of our work. We bring extensive expertise in civil engineering design and project delivery, covering multi-disciplinary coordination, master planning, highways, drainage, flood risk management, and utilities infrastructure.

Our teams contribute across all Arup portfolios, including Energy, Water, Transport, Cities Planning, Property, and Science & Industry. We play a central role in complex, large-scale infrastructure projects, supporting clients from initial concept and feasibility through detailed design and construction, across both the public and private sectors.

The team supports projects across all of these markets while also providing specialist civil engineering expertise to large contractor and framework clients, delivering design and build infrastructure solutions for some of the UK’s largest and most complex engineering projects.

• Supporting the design and delivery of civil engineering solutions for large-scale infrastructure and other Site Development projects including energy, water, transport (rail and highways), nuclear decommissioning, brownfield redevelopment sites, buildings projects and public realm.
• Developing site layouts, drainage strategies, earthworks designs, access arrangements and utility coordination solutions..
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to develop integrated and sustainable engineering designs.
• Producing technical designs, drawings, calculations and reports to a high standard.

Engaging with clients, stakeholders and project teams to develop practical and innovative outcomes.

For this opportunity, we are seeking the following qualifications, skills and attributes:

A Bachelors or Masters degree in Civil Engineering.

Skills and experience relating to AutoCAD/MicroStation, Civil 3D, InfoDrainage and use of AI/Data/Digital tools to support engineering design would be useful but not essential.

• Full working rights in the country of application
• No more than 12 months of full-time experience in a comparable role
• Recently graduated, or on track to graduate, from your most recent degree, related to your role of choice, before employment starts.
