Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Graduate Civil Engineer for its Reading office to support major water and wastewater infrastructure programmes across AMP8. You’ll work with a multidisciplinary team, contribute from feasibility to detailed design, and gain exposure to experienced engineers and chartered professionals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering is required.
• Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
• Willingness to learn and progress towards ICE chartership.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with the design and delivery of water and wastewater infrastructure projects from concept to detailed design.
• Preparing engineering calculations, technical reports, drawings and design deliverables per industry standards and client requirements.
• Collaborating with process, mechanical, electrical, structural, geotechnical and digital specialists.
• Participating in design reviews, project meetings and site visits to develop technical understanding and practical engineering knowledge.
• Supporting project delivery activities including quality assurance, risk management, health and safety compliance and programme coordination.
• Contributing to projects that enhance water resilience and sustainable infrastructure for communities across the UK.
