A leading construction firm in Maidstone is seeking a Graduate Site Engineer to join their site-based team. You will be responsible for conveying design information, performing quality assurance checks, and adhering to construction specifications. Ideal candidates should have at least an HNC qualification in Civil Engineering and relevant site experience. This position offers competitive pay and benefits packages including a company vehicle.

Qualifications

  • Record As-Constructed information and perform quality assurance checks.
  • Adhere to construction/design specifications and ensure compliance on site.

Overview

As a Graduate Site Engineer / Site Engineer, you will be part of the site based team with a primary focus on site activities. The engineering department is committed to conveying design information to the site operatives, providing setting out to the highest accuracy in a clear and professional manner. You will also be responsible for recording any As-Constructed information, providing quality assurance checks and adhering to any constructing design specifications.

You need to be driven and self-motivated with a good work ethic. You must be willing to learn and continue your development. Being a team player is essential to the role.

Responsibilities
  • Convey design information to site operatives and provide setting out with high accuracy.
  • Record As-Constructed information and perform quality assurance checks.
  • Adhere to construction/design specifications and ensure compliance on site.
Skills and qualifications
  • Preferably at least an HNC qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a relevant subject; working knowledge and experience are equally relevant.
  • Ability to read and understand construction drawings.
  • Capable of using Total Station Survey and GNSS equipment.
  • IT literate with good communication skills.
