Stantec invites you to join its 2027 Autumn Graduate Programme as a Graduate Civil Engineer in Edinburgh or Glasgow, joining a market‑leading Community Development discipline. Based in our offices, you’ll be part of a collaborative Civil Engineering team delivering major infrastructure and highways projects across Scotland, with access to multidisciplinary expertise and UK‑wide opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (minimum).
• Keen interest in the infrastructure sector.
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced graduate environment and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Assist with technical input into concept, preliminary and detailed scheme designs.
• Prepare design reports, specifications and technical notes.
• Complete engineering design work and calculations, including 3D design models.
• Research latest technologies and construction techniques to minimise environmental impact.
• Assist in Health & Safety risk management and mitigation.
• Prepare cost estimates and assist in value engineering within time and cost constraints.
• Collaborate with stakeholders from different organisations and disciplines.
• Support project management processes to monitor programme, cost and risk.
