Job summary

PRP UK Limited is recruiting a Civil Design Engineer to join our Leicester-based team. You will undertake civil design on projects across commercial, residential, industrial, healthcare and education sectors up to £40 million in value.

The role requires a civil engineering qualification, 2–3 years post-graduate experience preferred, and proficiency in AutoCAD. A full UK driving licence and own transport are desirable, with a friendly, supportive development-focused company culture.

Qualifications

• Have a suitable civil engineering qualification.
• 2–3 years post-graduate experience preferred, though candidates with no post-graduate experience will be considered.
• Experience in the design of below ground foul and surface water drainage systems.
• Capable of managing deadlines and organising own work.
• Able to liaise with local authority planning departments and lead local flood authorities.
• Knowledge of SuDS and highways design interactions with drainage design.
• Familiarity with MicroDrainage and/or InfoDrainage software packages.
• Hold a full UK driving licence and own transport.

You will:

• Undertake civil design on a wide variety of civil and structural engineering projects within the commercial, residential, industrial, healthcare and education sectors on projects up to £40 million in value

Attributes and Key Skills

You will:

• Have a suitable civil engineering qualification
• Have 2-3 years post-graduate experience which is preferred, although candidates with no post-graduate experience will also be considered
• Have experience in the design of below ground foul and surface water drainage systems
• Be capable of managing deadlines and organising your own work
• Use your initiative and work well as part of a team
• Be competent in producing drawings in AutoCAD
• Be capable of liaising with local authority planning departments and lead local flood authorities

• Hold a full UK driving licence and have your own transport
