Job summary

Arup Civil Engineering in London is recruiting a Graduate Civil Engineer to join our Energy, Water & Resources team. You will work on a range of projects from sustainable urban drainage to energy-related infrastructure, applying technical and creative approaches to design.

You will develop digital modelling skills with Infodrainage, GIS, AutoCAD/Civil 3D/Bentley MicroStation, and Python, while collaborating across disciplines and with clients. Start date expected around early September 2027.

Qualifications

• A Civil Engineering degree with a 2:1 or above.
• Recently graduated or on track to graduate before employment starts.
• Full working rights in the UK.
• No more than 12 months of full-time experience in a comparable role.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out assessment, analysis, and design; preparing reports, drawings, calculations, and specifications.
• Collaborating with colleagues in other disciplines.
• Working with landscape architects, environmental specialists, and planners.
• Meeting with clients, local authorities, and stakeholders including site visits.
• Specifying and analysing survey information for solution development.
• Developing options and supporting engineering solutions and business cases.
• Undertaking sustainability reviews and carbon-related studies.
• Creating and reporting on digital datasets using specialised software.
