As an engineer joining GROW, you will have the opportunity to specialise within your chosen engineering discipline, ensuring you obtain the necessary experiences to become a technical expert. Being an Engineer at Arcadis involves applying a human filter to your technical expertise, making an impact through innovation and creativity. During the three-year programme, you will develop core engineering and consulting techniques applicable to work with our clients in the UK and potentially internationally.

Our civil engineering community works across sectors including highways, rail, energy, and water management. Our projects vary in scale and scope:

• Highways Engineer: Contributes to the design and development of safe, efficient, and sustainable transportation systems, focusing on maintaining and enhancing road infrastructure quality.
• Water Management Engineer: Works on waste and clean water infrastructure, delivering sustainable solutions that ensure resilience and quality of water supplies through innovative and natural solutions.
• Rail Engineer: Involved in all aspects of civil engineering related to railways, from earthworks to drainage, using materials like timber, steel, reinforced concrete, and wood to support railway infrastructure.
• Energy Engineer: Supports clients in delivering new connections and grid upgrades to help the UK meet its Net Zero carbon reduction goals.

Role specifics are sector-dependent, and the programme offers opportunities for skill growth in delivering sustainable solutions. Site visits and inspections may be part of the work.

• Roles within Highways, Water, and Energy are open to candidates with a BEng or MEng in Civil, Structural, or Geotechnical Engineering.
• Roles within Rail require an MEng in Civil or Structural Engineering.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Graduating or recent graduate with at least a 2:2 in a relevant Bachelor's or Master's degree.
• Demonstrates typical Arcadis skills, including resilience, creativity, analytical thinking, and teamwork.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to use technical knowledge to influence and consult stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel and stay away from home when required (embracing virtual working where possible).
