Job summary

Armstrong Watson is seeking graduates to join our Audit & Assurance path as a Chartered Accountant trainee. From day one you’ll work with real clients, gain hands-on experience and start professional qualifications while receiving structured development and ACA study support.

You’ll join a three-year programme across Carlisle, Glasgow, Newcastle, Leeds, Skipton and Manchester, with opportunities to specialise as your career progresses and a strong emphasis on client service and integrity.

Qualifications

• Eligibility: 2:1 degree or above or full AAT Level 4.
• GCSEs: minimum 7 at grade 5 (C) or 6 National 5s at grade C.
• UCAS points: 96 or equivalent Level 3 qualifications.
• Full UK driving licence by September 2027 and a vehicle for client travel.

Responsibilities

• Gain hands-on experience with real clients from day one.
• Work in the Audit and Assurance team across sectors.
• Balance professional studies with client work and development.
• Progress through the three-year programme toward ACA/CTA qualifications.
• Develop professional relationships and assume increasing responsibilities.
