Job summary

University of Chester is seeking a Graduate Transitions and Opportunities Project Officer to connect students and graduates with career opportunities, mentoring programmes and employability support. The role focuses on sourcing graduate jobs, coordinating mentoring activities and building employer relationships within a five-month fixed-term contract.

You will work with employers, alumni, academic colleagues and students to promote opportunities, coordinate engagement initiatives and deliver

Qualifications

• Degree-level qualification or equivalent experience.
• Experience in employer engagement, business development, recruitment, or partnerships.
• Experience coordinating projects, programmes or events.
• Experience sourcing or matching people to opportunities such as jobs, internships, mentoring.
• Experience using CRM or case-management systems.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Strong organisational skills with ability to manage priorities.
• Willingness to travel to employer locations, University sites and events.

Responsibilities

• Act as a key contact for employers seeking to engage with the University.
• Promote and advertise graduate jobs, internships and early-career opportunities.
• Coordinate graduate and final-year student engagement initiatives.
• Lead the operational delivery of the University's career mentoring programme.
• Attend employer networking events and business forums.
• Develop engaging digital and social media communications.
• Work collaboratively with Careers & Employability Consultants, Work Placements colleagues, Alumni and wider University teams.
• Support and coordinate project activity to achieve agreed outcomes within the contract period.
