Job summary

CDE is seeking a detail-oriented Graduate Buyer to join our Procurement and Purchasing team in the UK. You will manage procurement activities focused on production scheduling and material availability, collaborating with suppliers, planners and internal stakeholders to ensure timely deliveries and optimal inventory levels.

You will support transactional processing, data accuracy and supplier coordination while developing procurement capability within a global engineering environment.

Qualifications

• Strong working capability in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word) and PowerBI.
• Experience in Operations, Supply Chain or Procurement roles.
• Knowledge of manufacturing environments and planning processes.
• Understanding of Procurement principles, OT D management and supplier performance.
• Familiarity with NCR and other quality-related processes.
• Competent in cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Raise purchase orders and process requisitions; maintain supplier confirmations and delivery tracking.
• Expedite orders and support shortage resolution; assist with urgent demand and rework.
• Support Buyers and Senior Buyers in daily activities; represent procurement at project kick-offs and meetings.
• Provide wider buyer support including PO raising, expediting, shortages and supplier communication.
• Communicate with suppliers on order status; provide updates to internal stakeholders.
• Maintain data accuracy in the IFS ERP system; support reporting and system updates.
