Job summary

Bidwells in Cambridge is offering a Graduate Building Surveyor role within its multi-disciplinary property consultancy. You will gain hands‑on experience across a broad range of building surveying projects under experienced mentors and work towards RICS Chartered status.

You’ll join a two‑year graduate development program designed to enhance professional effectiveness, commercial acumen and client delivery skills while supporting APC progress.

Qualifications

• RICS accredited Building Surveying qualification or equivalent.
• Strong IT skills with Microsoft Office applications.
• Excellent client care and interpersonal communication skills.
• Interest in business development and building client relationships.
• Team player with collaborative mindset.
• Some relevant Building Surveying experience, ideally starting the APC.
• Experience recording time and expenses.
• Understanding of turnover, income, profit and gross margin.

Responsibilities

• Support the Commercial Building Surveying team across inspections, surveys, technical reports, design and specification work, contract administration and project delivery activities.
• Maintain regular client communication and develop strong professional relationships.
• Proactively manage workloads to meet deadlines and service standards.
• Contribute to internal meetings and build connections across the business.
• Keep accurate project records, timesheets and expense submissions.
• Keep up to date with building surveying legislation and industry standards.
• Support management of project timelines and ensure delivery to quality standards.
