Graduate Building Surveyor

Location: Liverpool

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Graduate Building Surveyor to join a successful, friendly, and supportive firm. The role offers great project diversity, clear career progression, and training opportunities. We are working with an innovative multi-disciplinary practice known for their unique designs, which has continued to grow throughout the pandemic and has exciting projects upcoming. They are looking for a Graduate Building Surveyor to join their team.

On offer is the chance to develop your career within a supportive environment, gaining further qualifications and Chartership alongside a team with varying levels of experience, from graduates to senior professionals.

Projects vary in size and scope, including residential, cladding, social housing, and refurbishment projects. These range from single housing schemes to large-scale developments. Working closely with the team and Senior Building Surveyors, you will conduct condition surveys, feasibility studies, site inspections, manage quality, coordinate designs, handle tenders and procurement, administer contracts, and write design specifications.

The ideal candidate will be a Building Surveying Graduate with industry experience and working towards chartership. You should be a team player with the ability to work independently.

Skills and Experience required:

• Recent Graduate with RICS-accredited Building Surveying degree
• Some previous building surveying (or equivalent) experience preferred
• Excellent organisational skills
• Experience working in a busy office environment and dealing with clients/customers is advantageous
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Accuracy and attention to detail
• Ability to establish trust and develop effective working relationships
• Strong interpersonal skills with a proactive problem-solving approach
