Job summary

Arup invites graduates to join the Bridges and Civil Structures team in Leeds. You will contribute to design work across transport, energy and water sectors, supporting from concept to construction and collaborating with clients and multiple disciplines.

The role focuses on numerical analysis, design development and digital tooling, with opportunities to engage on high-profile UK and international projects. A strong academic record and UK work eligibility are required.

Qualifications

• Strong numerical skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• An analytical thought process and strive for technical excellence.
• Creativity and a desire to think beyond the norm.
• Aptitude to work on your own initiative, be proactive and take responsibility.
• Interest in and application of digital skills, such as computer coding for design automation and problem-solving is an advantage.
• Demonstrable understanding of general bridge and structural behaviour and an ability to use this understanding to develop practical solutions to meet Client needs.

Responsibilities

• Design of all elements with respect to Bridge and Civil Structures projects.
• Technical report writing and calculations.
• Working on projects from concept, right through to construction.
• Working with Clients & other disciplines within Arup to develop designs.
• Work in 3D using Revit, Tekla and other drawing packages.
