Job summary

Stantec invites graduates to join the Reading office as part of the 2027 Autumn Graduate Programme in Bridges. You’ll work within a market-leading community development discipline, collaborating with peers to develop bridge engineering expertise in a multidisciplinary environment.

As part of the Bridges and Civil Structures team, you’ll gain exposure to projects across the UK, from feasibility to asset management, using advanced software and analysis.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering required.
• Willingness to come into the office 4 days per week in Reading.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with the design, assessment and maintenance of bridges and civil structures.
• Supporting bridge inspections, site visits and condition assessments.
• Producing engineering calculations, analysis and technical drawings using industry-leading software.
• Contributing to technical reports, specifications and project documentation.
• Working with multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative and sustainable engineering solutions.
• Supporting projects throughout the asset lifecycle, from feasibility and concept design through to asset management.
