Job summary

Stantec invites applications for its Reading Graduate Mechanical Engineer position as part of the 2027 Graduate Programme. You will join a growing Buildings discipline and work with an established, multidisciplinary team to develop innovative building designs.

The role provides exposure to a variety of project stages, collaboration with engineers and architects, and opportunities to pursue professional qualifications while contributing to sustainable, compliant solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in BEng Mechanical Engineering or Building Services.
• Knowledge of Microsoft 365 / Office / AutoCAD.
• Keen interest in working in the Buildings sector.

Responsibilities

• Design and analysis of mechanical building services systems (HVAC).
• Produce drawings and 3D models using CAD and Revit.
• Collaborate with architects, structural and electrical engineers on integrated designs.
• Attend project and design meetings and contribute to discussions.
• Undertake site visits, surveys and inspections of building services installations.
• Assist with technical reports, calculations, specifications and project documentation.
