Graduate - Behavioural Support Assistant

Contract Type: Part Time or Full Time, Monday – Friday

Location: Wakefield

Salary: £89 - £105 per day

Start Date: ASAP

This is an exciting opportunity for a bright and confident graduate seeking a rewarding career in education and to develop skills as a Behavioural Teaching Assistant.

Key responsibilities:
  • Preparing the classroom for lessons and tidying afterwards to maintain a safe and clean environment
  • Assisting Teachers in preparing lesson materials and school equipment
  • Recording and reporting pupils' progress to the Teacher
  • Helping pupils stay focused during class hours
  • Supervising group activities, sports events, and school outings
  • Supporting Teachers in managing student behaviour
  • Providing a healthy and safe learning environment for children
What we are looking for:
  • A passion for inclusive education and a desire to make a positive impact
  • Patience, resilience, and a positive attitude towards learning and behaviour support
  • Ability to communicate clearly with Teachers and pupils
  • Ability to create an encouraging learning environment
  • Understanding and sensitivity towards children
  • Good knowledge of the lessons pupils are required to learn in class
  • Ability to remain calm during stressful situations
  • A valid DBS check or willingness to obtain one

Pay rates include 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This role is temporary, with potential for permanency later.
