Graduate - Behavioural Support Assistant

Contract Type: Part Time / Full Time

Location: Huddersfield

Salary: £89 - £105 per day

Start Date: ASAP

This is an exciting opportunity for a bright and confident graduate looking for a rewarding career in education and to develop skills as a Behavioural Teaching Assistant.

Key responsibilities:

  • Preparing the classroom ready for lessons and clearing away afterwards, to maintain a safe and clean environment
  • Assisting Teachers in preparing the lesson materials and school equipment
  • Recording and reporting a pupil's progress to the Teacher
  • Helping pupils stay focused during class hours
  • Supervising group activities, sport events and school outings
  • Helping Teachers manage student behaviour
  • Providing a healthy and safe learning environment for children

  • A passion for inclusive education and a desire to make a positive impact
  • Have apatient, resilient, and positive attitudetowards learning and behaviour support
  • Ability to communicate clearly with Teachers and younger individuals
  • Ability to create an encouraging learning environment for pupils
  • Understanding and sensitivity towards children
  • Excellent knowledge of lessons that pupils are required to learn in class
  • Ability to remain calm, during stressful situations
  • A validDisclosure and Barring Service (DBS) checkor willingness to obtain one
