Job summary

Millfield School is inviting applications for its Graduate Athletic Development Coach programme for the 2027/28 academic year. The role is a fixed-term position within a multidisciplinary team supporting student-athletes aged 11–18, under LTAD guidelines.

The successful candidate will design and deliver development programmes, handle profiling data, and educate staff on preparation, recovery and lifestyle habits. Term-time, with salary and benefits as outlined.

Qualifications

• Degree (or final-year student) in Sports Science, Strength & Conditioning, or related discipline.
• Demonstrable coaching experience in strength and conditioning.
• UKSCA accreditation, or ability to achieve within six months (financial and practical support provided).

Responsibilities

• Programme Design & Delivery: Plan, prepare, and deliver athletic development programmes aligned with LTAD framework.
• Profiling & Data Handling: Conduct physical profiling and monitoring to inform training interventions.
• Education Beyond Millfield: Educate students and coaching staff on preparation, recovery and lifestyle habits.
