Job summary

Ingleton Wood in Nottingham is seeking a Graduate Architectural Technologist to join our multi-disciplinary team, delivering design and technical detailing across sectors.

You will work with experienced Architectural Technologists, Architects and engineers, developing skills in AutoCAD, Revit and project delivery while progressing toward chartered status. A UK SC clearance requirement is noted for suitable candidates.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Architectural Technology.
  • Desire to progress to MCIAT or working towards the professional membership.
  • Experience of Revit.
  • Experience of AutoCAD.
  • Experience of Defence sector (desirable not essential)

Responsibilities

  • Assist with preparation of technical drawings, specifications and other project documentation.
  • Support production and development of design information at all project stages.
  • Assist in preparing planning, building regulations and other statutory applications.
  • Work alongside senior team members to develop technical solutions meeting client and project requirements.
  • Coordinate information with other consultants and disciplines.
  • Undertake measured surveys of buildings and prepare survey drawings.
  • Develop skills in AutoCAD, Revit and other relevant software.
  • Attend project meetings and assist with recording actions and project information.
  • Assist with preparation of tender and construction information.
  • Support project delivery during construction, including site visits when required.
  • Check drawings and technical information issued by suppliers and subcontractors.

The role…

We are currently recruiting a Graduate Architectural Technologist to join our Nottingham office.

This role provides an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate to develop their technical and professional skills while working on a wide range of projects across the sectors supported by the Practice. You will work closely with experienced Architectural Technologists, Architects and multidisciplinary teams, gaining practical experience in design, technical detailing and project delivery.

The selected candidate will…
  • Assist with the preparation of technical drawings, specifications and other project documentation.

  • Learn and apply current Building Regulations, technical standards and industry best practice.
  • Contribute to the preparation of technical specifications under guidance from senior colleagues.
  • Assist with BREEAM assessments, SBEM calculations, EPCs and other sustainability-related requirements as appropriate.
  • Complete tasks assigned by senior team members and contribute positively to project teams.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across all disciplines and office locations.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to professional development and progression towards chartered status.
Essential skills, experience, and attributes…
  • Degree in Architectural Technology.
