Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Graduate Aquatic Ecologist to join our Ecology team within Environment. You will support fieldwork, data collection and analysis across aquatic surveys, including fish, macroinvertebrates and related habitats, with opportunities for site work in the UK.

The role offers a hybrid working model and ongoing training through the ADVANCE graduate programme. Freshwater experience is essential, and you will perform macroinvertebrate analyses in our Leeds or Nottingham labs while

Qualifications

• Degree in aquatic ecology or related discipline; MSc preferred, BSc considered.
• Freshwater experience is essential and laboratory macroinvertebrate analysis skills are needed.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel & PowerPoint and good numeracy are required.

Responsibilities

• Support delivery of aquatic data collection and analysis for contracts.
• Conduct macroinvertebrate analysis in Leeds or Nottingham labs.
• Assist with terrestrial ecology surveys and multi-disciplinary projects.
• Communicate with line managers, clients and teams to ensure quality outputs.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and internal quality procedures.
• Contribute to client relationships and project development.
